What do you get when you cross a jeep with a roo – No Winners

This morning on my way home from Qld at 1.30 am, half way between Forbes and West Wylong the unthinkable happened. Yes the above question was tested when an adult grey kangaroo jumped from the side of the road straight into the path of my jeep. Unfortunately this resulted in an no winners all round.

After bring the car to a stop the clouds of steam coming from the front signalled that i would be going no further under my own steam.  Fortunately i was able to contact my insurance agency and they arranged a tow truck to come out for me. The unfortunate thing was i had to wait in the car until 5.00 am before my tow truck could cover the 2hr trip to reach me.

John, my tow truck driver was extremely helpful and after taking me and my jeep back to Temora, he arranged a rental car for me in Wagga Wagga and then drove me and all my belongings to Wagga, a 1 hour drive to collect my rental car and get me going again.

The most unfortunate thing in this whole ordeal is that i think my Jeep, after many years of faithful service will most likely be written off and not repaired. A very sad day if this indeed is the final decision.

I have uploaded some photos of my jeep after the accident, click the picture to see the full gallery.

Gibbi

Took this great shot of Gibbi, my South American orange spotted Gibbicep. He is about 30 cm long and is a complete vegetarian, loves a piece of cooked zucchini.
